These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DASWeb (“the service”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
What DASWeb is
DASWeb is an independent, unofficial tool that signs in to the DAS portal on your behalf, reads your duties, and makes them available to you on a web dashboard and as a calendar subscription. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Trapeze Group or any bus operator.
Eligibility and your credentials
- You may only use your own DAS account and credentials. Do not enter anyone else’s details.
- You are responsible for ensuring you’re permitted to access your DAS account through a third-party tool under your employer’s policies. Use of the service is at your own discretion.
- You must keep your account login secure and are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Your employer’s terms and policies
It is your responsibility — and yours alone — to make sure your use of DASWeb complies with your own employer’s and/or bus operator’s terms, conditions and policies, including any rules about accessing the DAS portal through third-party tools. DASWeb is independent and has no knowledge of your individual employer’s rules, so we cannot and do not check this for you.
If your employer does not permit the use of a tool like this, you must not use the service. You accept full responsibility for any consequences that arise from using DASWeb in breach of your employer’s terms, and DASWeb accepts no liability for them.
DASWeb+ and payment
DASWeb itself is free. Your duties, the roster, analytics, the calendar feed and duty-change alerts cost nothing and are not behind any subscription.
DASWeb+ is an optional subscription that adds two things to the duty you are working:
- Live bus tracking — which bus is working your board, its fleet number and plate, and whether it is running early or late — on the website, in the app, and on your phone's home screen and Lock Screen.
- Your bus's schedule — the trips your running number is timetabled to work between taking the bus over and handing it back, the timing points along each one, and how many rounders that adds up to.
It is priced at £5 per month or £45 per year, including VAT where applicable. One subscription covers you everywhere.
- Renewal. The subscription renews automatically — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the DASWeb+ page. DASWeb+ continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. Cancelling never affects the free parts of DASWeb — your duties and everything else carry on exactly as before.
- Switching plans. You can move between monthly and yearly at any time through the same page; Stripe works out the difference.
- Your right to cancel. If you are a consumer in the UK, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of taking out a subscription. If you ask us to start it straight away and then cancel within that period, we may charge for the part of the period you used. Email [email protected] and we will sort it out.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails we will retry it and let you know. If it still cannot be taken, DASWeb+ may end and its features may stop. The rest of DASWeb is unaffected.
- Price changes. If the price changes we will tell you by email at least 30 days beforehand. You are free to cancel before the new price applies.
Where the schedule comes from
The bus schedule is read from Transport for London's published iBus timetable data and matched to your route and running number. It is the timetable — what the bus is planned to do — and not a record of where it actually is or what actually happened. Roadworks, diversions, curtailments and changes made on the day will not appear in it. We do not control this data, cannot guarantee it is current or correct, and it is no substitute for your running board, your duty card or anything your controller tells you.
Neither DASWeb nor this subscription is affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Transport for London.
Payment processing
Payments are taken by Stripe, not by us. Card details are entered on Stripe's own pages and are never seen, handled or stored by DASWeb. Your use of Stripe's checkout is also subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. We keep only a record of your subscription — that it exists, its status and dates, and the card type and last four digits Stripe reports back — as described in our Privacy Policy.
If you had tracking before DASWeb+ existed
Drivers who already had an account when DASWeb+ was introduced keep the DASWeb+ features for a period afterwards, shown on the DASWeb+ page, before a subscription is needed for it. We will not take the feature away without telling you first.
Buying through an app store
DASWeb+ is bought and managed on the DASWeb website. If at any point we offer it through Apple's App Store or Google Play instead, that purchase is governed by that store's terms, and cancellations and refunds are handled through the store rather than by us.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you must not:
- attempt to access data that isn’t yours;
- disrupt, overload, probe or reverse-engineer the service;
- use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of your employer’s rules.
Accuracy of duty information
We do our best to keep your duties accurate and up to date, but the service depends on data from DAS and on timely syncing. Always treat the official DAS portal and your line manager as the authoritative source. Do not rely solely on DASWeb to determine when to sign on. We are not responsible for missed, late or incorrect duties.
Availability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, and we don’t guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DASWeb and its operators will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from missed, incorrect or delayed duty information, your reliance on the service, or any interruption to it.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or misuse the service.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
